We have an opportunity here. An opportunity to help lend a hand up to families that need it most.
No one is asking for anything more than for you to pay it forward if you can.
We are all busy. Some of us more so than others. But a good measure of us have far more than we need and we don’t even realize it. Sure we all struggle to pay our bills on time and we work hard to do so. But if we really sat back and looked at all that we have most of us would realize that we are more than fortunate, more than blessed, almost rich compared to some of our brothers and sisters both in this country and around this planet who are struggling.
In our work-a-day world sometimes it’s easy just to walk on by or worse step over those who have fallen down on their life path.
I’m asking you to stop and notice. I’m asking you to look into their eyes and think there but by the grace of God go I.
And then I’m asking you to make a difference for one family by buying a t-shirt through our fundraiser, paying it forward and adding your voice for those who voices are drowned out by the din of today’s fast paced, self absorbed society.
I’m asking you to build the future the old fashioned way. Helping your neighbor up when they stumble. Listening when they need a sounding board. Paying the tab occasionally when they come up short. Comforting them when sadness overtakes them, and guide them back on their path when they lose focus and are ready to give up.
Here is an opportunity my friends to pay it forward and build a better future. Nail by nail. Brick by brick.
